Classic TV Theme: Soldier of Fortune Inc / SOF (Full Stereo)

This 1997 syndicated series was notable as the first venture into television by Jerry Bruckheimer's production company. The show was about an elite team doing off-the-books ops for the US government and had all the action and spectacle you'd expect from Bruckheimer. It underwent a revamp in season two, changing the name to 'Special Ops Force' and shaking up the cast (e.g. adding Dennis Rodman). The revamp turned off fans who preferred the original, grittier approach and the elite team vanished after two seasons. Music is by Trevor Rabin. SOF includes an opening voice-over by Peter Graves and different end credit music.

I didn't know that Brad Johnson passed away. Really sorry to hear that. I love this show and wish that the original cast could have stayed together for both seasons. Once I was able to buy a DVD set of both seasons, but my son threw them away by accident.

I watched this TV show on WLS-TV channel 7 in Chicago EVERY Sunday morning @ 12:35 a.m. in its first season (1997-1998), when I was a freshman in high school -- I attended Nicholas Senn High School -- and I first saw it after the Saturday night movie, "A Rage in Harlem, " went off (01/31/1998), and THEN on Saturday night @ 10:35 p.m. when I was a sophomore in high school -- 1998-1999, and I LOVED it! WOW forgot all about this show. Use to watch it late Saturday nights. Had a kind of gritty feeling to it. Melinda Clarke was sooo... hot. Rodman was riding a wave of popularity at the time and I guess the 2nd season needed them ratings. I also didn't realize Hermann from Chicago Fire was in the 2nd season as well.
