I think it might be a linguistic problem (meaning that it is that some Thai might not know perfect english - myself inclueded not that I am a Thai by the way). But most of us when we see "Steak buffet" we normally think beef steak and so on, here it seems like it is all food buffet. Mr Hansen is such a gentleman and eats what is offered.

Reminds me of an Asian restaurant where my son ordered the pork chop. Surprised when we were served chopped pork and told that's what the "pork chop" was.

Looks a lot like small town buffets in the Midwest. Sometimes the food stays out until it's gone or almost gone before they replace it. It's cheap but if that's what you can afford, that's where you're feeding the family.
