I mean what is returning to "normal". The common problem is that Denji's time spent with Aki and power made people read him as normal (eg. how he is regaining humanity, feelings) when the entire theme of chainsaw man is one of insanity. Most of Denji's reaction is normal. Denji has always been broken and for the past several chapters, fujimoto has egged everyone into these characters not being so. Makima is just as broken. Denji has always chosen of his own free will to be subservient to Makima which is why she does not need to use her domination on him.

This is so I wish we'd know more of Makima's goals, 81 chapters and we still don't know.

Well future devil already spoiled us that Power will die by the hands of Denji, so im bracing myself hard for it. Also i have this tiny hope that the author changed his mind cuz Power is the most famous character in Chainsaw Man. Japanese folks really likes her a lot with those massive votes in Weekly Shōnen Jump poll. But knowing this author who wrote Fire Punch... Yup im doubting hard right now... Damn Tatsuki Fujimoto please dont kill Power for f*ck sake!
