Gotta say, I love the way Wenwu shifts instantly from a ruthless killing machine to a loving father. Tony Leung truly is a magnificent actor.

The sad part about this scene is that Wenwu genuinely wants to be a good father but the only thing he accomplishes is being a bad influence on his son.

Let’s be real for a second here, I’m sure everyone was rooting for Wenwu to get his revenge in this scene.

This is honestly one of the coldest Scenes for a Villian I've ever seen.
The music matches perfectly.

This scene shows how terrifying is Wenwu as the Mandarin and to me, he’s the best MCU villain I’ve seen.

Out of the Marvel Movies I have watched, Erik Killmonger and Xu Wenwu are my favourite Marvel Villains. Watching this scene is also telling me that putting The Ten Rings is necessary. Wenwu really wanted to leave his past behind until The Iron Gang took his Wife’s life. So definitely this scene gave me the chills as well to be honest in my opinion

Wenwu is, in my opinion, the character with the most depth in this entire film. They all have depth, but there's something about him that just has it the most. He's starts out lost, is found, becomes lost again and tries to reassemble his life through grief, while abusing his children. The hard part is that as abusive as he is, he also truly loves them both. He's basically lost everything if you think about it, and this is what it is like when people experience trauma. After trauma people can never go back to the way things were.

When I first saw this scene, my first thought was “aww, Shang-chi gave him permission to kill them.” Then I realized he was just confirming if they were the guys who killed his wife.

*Wenwu:* I renounced my immortality when I met a beautiful woman who was my equal, but when she was murdered I went back to my evil ways and now my son wants to fight me.
*Dracula from Netflix's Castlevania:* Same, bruh. Are you also fighting a person wielding a whip-like weapon?
*Wenwu:* My daughter, how did you know?
*Dracula:* Bro, we gotta get some beers. Or blood in my case.

No matter how hard you bury, forget, outrun, and put your past behind to have a normal life in the future, the past will always catches up with you.

The camera work in this whole scene was stellar. The moment that in a single sweeping oner, the 360 rule is broken and a powerful reaction shot on the kid as he finally sees what type of a monster his father really is. I had a feeling this movie might have been good, but never thought I would see such good cinematography in a Marvel film.

This scene is totally pure rage and anger.. but deep down full of sorrow

That part when the mirror broke, kinda represents Shang Chi's POV of his father

Came in style in a two piece button suit with sleeves rolled up and decimated all of them.

What I love most about this movie is it feels like a traditional Martial Arts movie that just so happens to be a superhero film. I honestly went to see this twice in theatre’s cause of just how amazing the characters and choreography was in this film, the MCU really outdid themselves here.

He was totally In the Mood for Murder in this scene.

It's crazy because I'm just now realizing shang chi backing up when his father is fighting derived from fear, but also because this is his first time whitnessing his father use the rings, he gave up using them since before he was born.

Wenwu is like any husband and any dad, always looking out for his wife, even if she's dead, and always looking out for his kids.
