PLOT:

The actor for wenwu, tony Leung, was never a father in real life, yet his performance as a father really hit you

Wenwu's last moment, just before he sends the rings to Shang Chi, to me he's saying "You will be better than me." to his son, and I think that's really everything a father can ask for.

I like how Xu Wenwu's last act was to save his son's life. He finally accepted he couldn't bring back his wife, and he was not about to lose his son either.

Even after the terrible things he had done, he indeed loved his family, and so he sacrificed himself to help save them.

Wenwu wasn’t a villain to me in this movie. He was just a husband who missed his wife and wanted to do whatever he could to save her. But when he finally understood he was tricked, he passed the weapon that could defeat the beast to his son with a look that says “forgive me son. Tell your sister I love you both. Goodbye my son” this is in my opinion one of the best post endgame “next gen” Marvel movies

he gave his son the greatest asset he had. provided for him his whole life, kept tabs on him to make sure he was safe, trained him to make sure nobody could defeat him, and in the end gave his son the rings, his greatest asset, like he said he would when his son was just a child.

It's not his own life that flashes before his eyes in that moment. It was the life of his son. My heart wrenched apart and tears filled my eyes watching realizing how much he actually loved his family and that was actually what drove him.

I always thought, if the Dweller was trying to call out to the powerful beings on earth to free it. Wouldn’t that mean it was trying to call out to Odin when he was on Earth in Ragnorak? That scene where he asks his sons if they could “Hear their mother call out to him.”

Wenwu saw the man that was his son. He was proud of Shang in those final moments, , , the strength he showed and the courage he had .. wenwu knew Shang had grown into something more than he could have ever hoped for becoming.

The performance here is brilliant. This maybe one of the best death performances from an actor. Just look at his eyes, I don’t how he made it look like life was getting drained from them but he did. Tony Leung, pure genius.

Wenwu reminds of my Dad because my Father would have done the same thing to save my Mum and even to Sacarfice his life for me and my Brother honestly my family is almost similar to Shang Chi just that we don't push too hard on ourselves of course
