Two five one to minor keys is something that many people seem to skip when it comes to learning jazz piano. I did for years.
In this lesson I will cover a way to play 2-5-1 progression in minor keys.

Chapters:
0:00 Intro
0:49 II-V-I progression in a major key
1:28 II-V-I progression in a minor key
3:00 Tip 1 - Always keep this in mind
3:31 Tip 2 - Specific voicing when playing ballads
6:32 Snowing On The Sulx Vulx (tune) by Gjermund Sivertsen
8:49 Summary
10:42 Extra Tip

In part 2 I will teach you how to do the same in more up-tempo tunes.

Take care of your music today!

Dear Gjermund, your video tutorials are top of the line, and I like the touch at the end of ending the piece in major, which is also what JS Bach did when he wrote Chorales in a Minor key... Very thoughtful thing to do and bring to the attention!

Nice lesson! I can't wait take classes with you. I have been playing classical since I was 7 years old, and now I want to jump to jazz. To the lady that was asking about a good keyboard with excellent warm piano sounds, try Yamaha MOXF8.

Amazing piano ballad, love it.

Hey, I have a question but it's out of topic. I'm into jazz piano lately, but now my keyboard is broken. Can you suggest any good keyboard that have sound and touch close to acoustic/grand piano but still have midi feature? Thank you in advance.

actually E flat is the relative major of C minor, not the parallel... just FYI terminologically

The way you name chords is kinda confusing. Wouldn't the second just be ddim7 (half diminished 7) not dmi7?
