Efficient Raw Material Farming in Elite Dangerous

Tired of farming raw materials in your SRV? Try this simple method instead, where you shoot material nodes from your ship and let collector limpets gather materials for you! This works for both brain trees (Selenium) and crystal shards (all other raw materials).

Very nice! I used this approach with flachettes a few weeks ago very effectively but i wasn't aware of the "back-off till you cant see the organics" element. I'll definitely note that for next time.

Great vid, though the edmaterials site appears down. I just used the info displayed in your vid.
One additional suggestion: do this on the night side with night vision turned on. It's way easier spotting the trees, especially the large groups of them.

if you lower terrain quality that effects draw distance. turn it down, and you can use limpets with smaller range. that's what I had to do with my ASP.

i do recommend keeping a bay, for when the limpets go after certain materials that cause their deaths

GOT IT!!! The trick is to "jiggle" the altitude after you send in the collector limpets
