just saw the premire yesterday... I HAVE NEVER CRIED AND BEEN AMAZED AS MUCH WITH SUCH A MOVIE!! hugh jackman and anne hathaway were sensational. i wanted to buy another ticket as soon as i finished the movie. will definently recomend this to anyone.

I haven't read the book and even though they sang almost every word, it was very impressing and the actors were so convincing! The music is also beautiful! I can recommend to watch this movie!

Completely agree. Just as Javert was actually fully within his right and power to do as he did, Valjean is not innocent, he did steal, that is a fact. The crime might not be equal to the punishment, but that Valjean knew that going in

He wasn't innocent, he was given a draconian sentence that grossly exceeded scope of his crime (stealing a loaf of bread).
