Thanks Darin, it sounds like RT don't know what they are talking about. I was lucky enough to 2 tickets for an advanced screening on the 22/12. Can't wait to see it. I am not a professional movie reviewer but I will post a review on the 22/12 evening if anybody is interested.

I understand there is some importance to remember the stage performances. I mean I wish I had the audio to the performance I saw for Les Mis, besides Fantine's performance I really liked all of them when they sang. But there is going to be a major difference between this movie and a stage performance and that is intimacy which sometimes stage performances can't project, I feel like the movie's going to be way more intimate than what I've saw in the 10th Anniversary.

In addition to what yojoj0 said about it being a complicated story, the book's been around for over 150 years, and the musical has been performed continuously for almost 40, so I guess they figure that the audience can find out the plot for themselves. ;)

I'm afraid I might just explode from excitement before the movie even comes out.

Can't wait until Christmas Eve, when I can break out in to singing "One Day More".

Fair enough. :) I do believe Mr. Crowe did have a band at one time? I can't be certain, but I do recall something like that. And thankfully for you, Javert, while he has some really good songs, isn't as "visible/audible" as Valjean...and Hugh Jackman is a triple threat... being quite familiar with broadway.

We do agree...that it does look "SO FREAKING GOOD". :) I just purchased my Christmas Day tickets...and I'm not sure I have EVER gone to the movies on Christmas Day. VERY eager am I! :)

Noooo we want to be surprised dont we? I know its hard to wait. But most of us have been waiting for many many years. I think we can hold off for two weeks more.

This is my favorite musical of all time... since I was a kid. I have seen it on stage. I know every word. Because of this, I feel I will be disappointed. I've watched every clip of the coming movie and I just don't feel it vocally lives up to the expectations of true Les Mis vans. The actors did the best they could do but they just can't carry the operetta bravado. The sets are great but we as fans are content watching characters in front of mics, (10th anniv)...the singing was most important.
