If you used gallery fake to deposit duplicated money in a bank, I honestly don't think you would get in trouble unless the money somehow disappeared in front of them. The bank would assume stealing before magic.

One thing that isn't mention as much about Cookie is that it's basically an exp multiplier. You can train harder and longer and become actually stronger in a shorter amount of time without needing to use restrictions as a crutch. It doesn't matter that this isn't good for combat you are gonna become so much better in nen with it that you can just make another ability for combat, you now have 7.5 extra hours each day for training.

Knov’s is definitely my favorite, scream let’s you one shot enemies if they don’t see it coming and hide and seek gives you a free 21 room building to live in, in another dimension so you can be comfortable in peace and quiet. Then if you do want to go into the outside world, just mark your favorite locations around the world and visit them instantly, anytime you want.

Just having an ability in itself is really valuable. In order to have a nen ability you need nen. Just being able to use nen increases your lifespan, Wing shared that info during the heavens arena arc. So even if you were delegated to a garbage ability you're still better off than any normal person because being able to use the basics of nen gives you an insane advantage. Your naturally stronger(hatsu, ten, and ko), more perceptive(gyo+en), and more agile (nen jumps from greed island + other unknown techniques). Even in cases like Neon or Komugi where they had an ability but didn't use nen, they still had nen so they would just need training to increase their proficiency. Your a superhuman. That's really practical when you think about it.

I vote for Bisky! Never needing to sleep sounds amazing!! To be able to apply it to yourself and others just makes it a truly epic ability!
For Manipulator, I still think Instant-Lover is a damn good ability! Kissing and taking control of another person is very useful in having them do what you need them to do! Defend you, steal money, tell you all their secrets! Hell, even Basho and Kurapika were scared of it!

but is going the long, slow, old-fashioned way,
but she uses Cookie's Piano Massage on them to increase the pace by which they train,
will she able to get at least some of them with basic but active Nen capability by the time they make landfall on the New Continent?
Specifically to at least match Kurapika's goals of a power stalemate?

For me it's Bisky's hands down. As someone who lives with insomnia and would like more time to do things both for work and for fun this would be a dream ability. Also I have back pain. The magical masseuse could help with that. I do enjoy sleeping when I can, so I wouldn't use it all the time, but having that option is brilliant.

Nanika doesn't have to provide a cost when granting Killua's wish, the reason given is because they want Killua to praise them. This leads me to believe that Nanika has at minimum some control over the wishes that get granted. Sure you can't grant any of your own wishes, but there's nothing stopping you from asking a friend to wish something for you and charge them nothing.
As for the cost, you just simply don't ask anyone for any favours and there, you don't have to grant wishes you don't want to
