How to do CPR

After seeing Damar Hamlin's on-field collapse, many were reminded of the importance of CPR. In this video, the American Heart Association shows the basics.

Hands-only or bystander CPR is for non-medically trained individuals. These steps are for a large child, teenager, or adult. For those who learned this in the past, there’s no blowing in the mouth anymore.

‘Any CPR is better than no CPR.’

I feel like videos that explain things in case of a medical emergency need to get straight to the point with ZERO ads

The best part about this video is somebody watching it trying to save someone’s life they have to watch an ad first. Nice one YouTube

Steps: 1 Ask “are you okay?”. If no response, proceed: 2 Bring your eye level down to their chest level and look if chest is moving up and down to indicate breathing. If there is no movement, proceed: 3. Tell a bystander to call the police for ambulance. 4 Position your hand in the center of the chest: This will be in between the pecs, just below the nipple line. Place the palm of your hand over that location, and put your other hand on top. Position your shoulders over your hands. 5 Press down about 2 inches for an adult. Then fully allow the chest to rise back up. Repeat these steps of pushing down and letting it fully rise back up. The speed of your pumps should be hard and fast, 100-120 pumps per minute. If you know the beat of the song “stayin alive”, you can adjust your pump speed according to that beat. You got this.

The fact that their is an ad before a CPR video. Imagine trying to save someone and just getting an ad.

what's ironic is I got an ad about an ad blocker that is supposed to block ads for videos and this video was one of the examples
