How trees talk to each other, Suzanna Simard. Trees actually communicate and help their offspring, the forest fungi and fauna are all linked in a Wood Wide Web! Trees don't actually compete with each other. They are super-co-operators!

"A forest is much more than what you see," says ecologist Suzanne Simard. Her 30 years of research in Canadian forests have led to an astounding discovery — trees talk, often and over vast distances. Learn more about the harmonious yet complicated social lives of trees and prepare to see the natural world with new eyes.

Mycorrhiza

A mycorrhiza is a symbiotic association between a fungus and the roots of a vascular host plant. The term mycorrhiza refers to the role of the fungi in the plants' rhizosphere, its root system. Mycorrhizae play important roles in soil biology and soil chemistry.

Mycorrhizal fungi

An arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus (plural mycorrhizae or mycorrhizas, a.k.a. endomycorrhiza, AM fungi, or AMF) is a type of mycorrhiza in which the fungus penetrates the cortical cells of the roots of a vascular plant.

There is no doubting that the planet is a sentient being - an organism capable of perceiving its surroundings. This was an awesome video demonstrating that clearly -a cooperation among the trees. The beautiful and mind stimulating presentation has simply compelled to continue my subscription and explore more. Many thanks. Mark

Recently read the Hidden Life of Trees. I used to do school presentations on ecological links centred around mycorrhizal fungi, and my mind was blown. Awesome video, you have a new sub.

I recently was on a truthers comment section and mentioned how trees communicate thru their roots and much more, and was called crazy by some. I proved them wrong with links I gave them to click and view. Currently, crickets are all I hear from their direction.
