Lonely dog gets the surprise of his life 🥹❤️

This is so heartwarming! We have an elderly neighbor with a very high-energy dog. I noticed that his dog was running the neighborhood one night. So, I took him back home. Our neighbor told me that his health was making it hard for him to walk the dog enough to get his energy out, so he let him run at night. Even though his dog has a locator collar, I was worried he'd be hit by a car or taken. I offered to bring his dog into our fenced yard to play with our golden as often as he wanted. Now, every day around noon, he lets his dog out, the dog runs right to our back gate, I let him in, and he spends hours playing with our dog. When they're both tuckered out, I walk him back home and have a chat with my neighbor. This way, his dog gets exercise in a safe way, and our elderly neighbor has some company every day and knows that his community is here to help his dog as well as him! ❤

My granddaughter felt sorry for her neighbor's dog was without water and often neglected for days on end. She used the garden hose to fill his water dish.
She woke up in the night to find it sleeping on the foot of her bed. He had dug under the fence and used her dog's door to get in. She waved down the neighbor when they pulled in the driveway next door, and the dog was returned. The hole was filled, and the following week, he found another spot to dig under. When the owner showed in to reclaim him, the dog growled and started barking at the guy.
He looked at my granddaughter and said " I don't want him. Do you want him?" Now he sleeps at the foot of her bed whenever he can get away with it.

People have much to learn from these beautiful, kind, neighbors, and little dogs. So touching.

This story makes me chuckle. When my daughter was 3, she liked to play with the 3 yr old girl next door. Because it could be dangerous on the front street, we took out 1 fence board so the girls could go between the yards safely. They are going to be 30 this year and are still best friends.
