We have moved our 2 week old chicks outside for the first time during the day. It is great to get them out of the brooder and on some grass as soon as possible. We use the premier one shock or not netting so the baby chicks cant fit through the netting.
We also get our garden started for the year and update on the new animals to the farm!!

I know this video was two years ago but I have to share about your corn. My parents are huge garden growers & they moved to some bad soil so they found a person with horses and asked for their piles of straw/poop mixture that they clean out of the barn. They leave a trailer there and the people dump on there for them instead of the ground, then when full my parents dump it at the corner of their garden and they work that into the dirt over time. They did this for two years and now they have amazing soil and a great garden. You can also do this with a cattle farmer. Hope your garden is doing great!

Your garden dirt looks spent. Add compost to revitalize the soil.

I can't wait to move my chicks outside. Do you usually wait until they are 2 weeks old to bring them outside for a bit?
