Localization companies are actively encouraging people to pirate their products by letting this behavior ruin the industry. I just feel bad for the actual developers of the game that this is what happens to their products.

Accurate language translating is more important than localizing. Translating is what honors any country work as it is, and better allowing people to decide if they want to support the work or not while still respecting the work.

You should discard them. They won't do better. They blocked people criticizing them before.

The reason why this translator still has his job is because like minded employees are also in charge there, thus a further reason why official localizations continue to be abysmal

Guess these translators didn't take note from how lawyers do their jobs. Never let or inject personal feelings and beliefs into your work.

Given that they had a full team working on these localizations and let those lines get all the way through to release, that would explain why the person isn't fired.

My rule of thumb is pretty much that if there is a buzzword or anything sounding even remotely similar to American politics, I find a new site with another translator.

No way I'm going to throw away a potentially amazing manga/anime just because some self absorbed twitter freak wanted to use it as their political platform. Luckily that's only happened once or twice for me soo far, and then it'd been pretty obvious only like 3 chapters in.

Just googled it. Bazinga is trademarked by Warner Bros. So not only did this localizer just do whatever the hell they wanted, this could lead to a potential copyright lawsuit that the company wouldn't even have known about.
Edit: I made this about half way through the video. Now that I have watched the rest, fuck it. Let them release it. Let WB have their way suing their asses for using their copyright. They clearly approve of it
