Congo, Thrill of the River | Deadliest Journeys

On the legendary Congo River, Commander Aimé is at the helm of a gigantic wooden raft the size of a football field. With his men, he is trying to transport 220 tree trunks linked together by cables from Kisangani to Kinshasa. The raft is also the cheapest means of transport for the most deprived who wish to reach the capital. On board, danger is daily, injuries, sandbanks and storms do not spare the men. For those who take the trails along the river, the conditions are not better. Without public transportation, travelers have no choice but to board freight trucks for an epic journey.

It broke my heart in tears seing this kind of life of people in Congo. I came from the philippines. We were poor when i was young but the hardship i suffer is so much better than this. I had a lot of respect to these people. May the almighty God will bless you.

I think it's beautiful how I'm from a small town in New Mexico but now in Houston Texas USA and they sing and recite the same prayers that we do here no matter what language our religion brings us together ❤️

Oh how I wish I could help that grandmother. She is going through things we in our comfortable lives have never had to endure. God bless her. I love the prayers. The Lord listened.

Even a Hollywood director could not imagine this. It can only be because people had to adapt to survive and you won't know what they endure until you see this.. my heart sank when that storm rolling in and They decided to just praise God during the storm. I couldn't hold the tears back
