I've been watching almost all your video tutorials and they were great. There are just some misconceptions like: A linear eq. in 2 variables is ax + by = c. where a, b & c are real numbers. The coefficients a, b, c are real numbers and they are constants too. C is the CONSTANT TERM not simply a constant, an nuemrical exponent is also a constant. In the activity where the 3rd column is the contant term of the equation are all INCORRECT. Anonther thing, transforming the standard to slope -int form of the eq., better if you use Ax + By = C (COEF MUST BE UPPERCASE) to let learners distinguish B (numerical coef. of y) and b (as y - int). Moreover, 5x - 3 = 12 CAN ALSO BE WRITTEN IN a L.E. IN 2 VARIABLES (as 5x - 3 = 12 + 0y of 0y + 5x - 3 = 12 of the other ways). Remember that if we graph 5x - 3 = 12, it illustrates a line (which is a characteristic of a linear eq. - its graph is a line). One thing more, the degree of linear eq . in 2 variables (or simply linear eq.) the highest exponent of each variable IN A TERM is 1. (What if the given is: 2xy + 3 = 8. Is it linear eq in 2 variables). I didnt mean to offend you. It is just an educational coversation. Thank you.
