Being an avid chess player Go has always fascinated me but I had never taken the time to understand the game mostly because it has always been portrayed as a deeply strategic and complicated game. It's rather impressive that in a few minutes you were able to help me understand the basic concept of the game; and while I understand there are much deeper nuances to this game I feel considerably less daunted by it now. Very well done indeed! I especially liked the various animations - they livened up the topic and keeps the viewer engaged (yes, we are all goldfish :)).

The one point I think the video can improve upon: Summarize the rules (or the talking points) at the end in a short list. This way the viewer can see everything at once and even write them down in a concise way.

I thank you for this crash course on Go. I love games of strategy like Chess and Sequence, so this one is a good strategy game in a different sort of way. The game of Go brings to mind the Battle of Dyrrhachium in 48 BC, where Caesar's legions built a wall to trap Pompey Magnus against the sea. Pompey's men also built a wall to try and enclose Caesar's men, and it was a race of whose wall could trap the other first, much like Go. Caesar's men trapped Pompey, cutting off access to fresh water and Pompey was up against the clock. Sure, Caesar lost that battle and had to regroup where he ultimately won that civil war one month later at the Battle of Pharsalus to make up for that, but if the Battle of Dyrrhachium was a game of Go, Caesar would have won.
