Canadian troops salute Ukrainian recruits departing for war

Defence Minister Bill Blair joined Canadian troops at a training base in the U.K. on Sunday, where they held a special salute for Ukrainian recruits departing for the war.

Blair said the training being provided by Canadian troops is “saving lives.”
The defence minister also said Sunday that Canada would contribute $33 million to a partnership with several allies to send air defence missiles to Ukraine.

Was 29 weeks of training to be a infantry soldier in the Canadian army in the 1970’s

Wonder what the real number is of those who went and asked Canada for asylum, then denied.

There have been rumours in Europe that European governments are refusing asylum requests from Ukrainian trainees.
