I am glad I found your channel! I just started homeschooling for the first time this year so this is all still new to me.

Love it, thanks for sharing your curriculum choices. We love The Good and the Beautiful math, I used it for my daughter when we pulled her from an online school. She was struggling so bad but once we made the switch she started to gain back her confidence she was understanding the concepts etc. We're looking forward to using them again this school year.

FYI, Masterbooks does have math above grade 6, it’s called Principles of Mathematics 1 and 2 for 7th and 8th.

New subscriber here! I am a homeschooling mama to 5 kids, but will only have 3 who I will be homeschooling. We are entering in our 4th year homeschooling. We started with Master Books math and tried Saxon last year. It's a great curriculum, but needless to say, we are back to MB this year for all of my kids. We are also trying our their language arts from using The Good & the Beautiful since the beginning. We'll see! Enjoyed your video!

The Good and the Beautiful 's cursive writing books are awesome. My 4 girls have always enjoyed them.

Thank you so much for starting this channel. I love that you are keeping it real and not over whelming the kids. We are the exact same when it comes to our homeschool. My kids are 11, 10 & 7. We have been homeschooling since the beginning. We want our kids to just be kids and not have to worry if they are at the same level of the public school system. Keep the videos coming. I would love a more in depth look at the Master books math. By the way they don't teach cursive anymore. We love TG&TB Language arts and Math. My kids are using that this year as well. We will be using level 3, 4, & 6 Language and grade 4&6 math. My youngest loved the math but she needed a little more mastery base math with spiral built in. She is going to use Math with Confidence 3 this year.

Hi! Homeschooling mom here too! Actually call myself a "mixed schooler" 😅 I have two sweet high school boys in public school, and homeschool our 2 younger kiddos who are going into 3rd and 5th. Were like you, we started in 2020 and there was no going back ❤ love it so much. Glad I found your channel! I've been wanting to start one too but have no clue where to start! Also we LOVE Fl! Hubby and I talk about moving to FL multiple x a week. 😅 The homeschool laws scare me though! We don't have to be reviewed in my state so that would be totally new for me. Keeps the videos coming! I love finding other mamas!

Great video. We are on our 2nd yr homeschooling (6, 7, 9, 14). We are in PA but have found it to be very easy, I think, because we have an awesome evaluator. For the smaller kiddos I use TGTB LA but CLE for Math. My high schooler uses a smorgasbord of curricula. I look forward to more videos!

What do your kids listen to their audio books or podcast on while they are doing chores? My 7 year old has a tablet but it would be hard to carry it around while he is doing chores.

Masterbooks has higher math! I am going to use up to level 6 and then I think we are going to start Denison algebra! I have heard wonderful things about that and is starts with pre algebra.

When you say things happened in the public schools that you weren't happy about... know that millions of other parents in the U.S. (and probably in other countries too) feel the exact same way right now. I'm not a mother (hoping to become one, though), but my sister's kids are in public schools and I worry terribly for them for a long list of reasons. I think public schools poisoned her oldest son who is now 21. I went to public schools myself but I graduated in 2007 and things weren't quite as bad back then. It was rough, but survivable. I know there are good teachers, principals and other school staff out there and I feel bad for them, too, for what they have to deal with in their schools now.

Hello! I'm homeschooling too! This will be our 4th year. We started during the world issue too, but I had thought about homeschooling before then. I have a 2nd and a 4th grader. My 7th grader goes to public school still. I understand what you are saying about what the school is teaching. My girls came to me and said they were a different sexuality than what they are. My mouth dropped and I found out the school was teaching about the LGTBQ group. Anyway, good luck and happy homeschooling!
