The remake features new HD visuals, updated controls, an overhauled interface, new sounds, and new music. System Shock is coming to PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.

Been waiting for this since its announcement over half a decade ago. Huge fan of the original series. Quake, Unreal, and DOOM were classic shoot em ups. Thin on plot, but fun to play. System Shock and Half Life elevated the genre to newer heights in terms of plot and atmosphere.

WOW, does this EVER bring back memories! System Shock 1 & 2 were absolute classics in their day way back when! Originally created by the same crew who would later create the excellent Thief series, & after that Bioshock (this series' spiritual successor). I've been hoping a System Shock game might be made 4 a long time now - remake or all new, still cool 2 hear - great news! :D

They've done really well with the art direction on this in terms of keeping it faithful to the original while modernising it so it doesn't feel dated.

If you aren't scared of outdated HUD and item management, my advice would be to play also the originale game (Enhanced Edition of course, or otherwise it would have really outdated controls as well).

System Shock is really one of the most important and influential games ever. A must play, even after almost 30 years.
And so is System Shock 2!
