Wildfires in the US state of New Mexico continue to burn out of control after destroying more than 1,000 homes in the state.

The entire population of one New Mexico town was ordered to evacuate.

Overall, more than 70 million Americans, about one in five people, remain under heat alerts on Wednesday. Heat alerts also apply in six Canadian provinces.

Meanwhile, tropical Storm Alberto has formed over Western Gulf of Mexico.

Quick guys we must give billions of our tax paying dollars to politicians who wont spend a single dime on helping get rid of the wild fire.

Sad to say but we Yanks have to go to the BBC to get half-way decent weather/climate news coverage. Has anyone watching a U.S. based commercial news service broadcast ever heard tell of the 1%C/4% moisture-in-the-air relationship? It was an American meteorologist who was interviewed, and he was excellent, but he’s nowhere on “our” stations. And has anyone enjoyed watching The Weather Channel - of all places - tying itself in knots trying to avoid discussing the human-influenced aspect of climate change/global warming? Comical if it wasn’t tragic. TWC much prefers heroic rescue operations coverage and “exciting” storm-of-the-century type entertainment to ever mentioning the unmentionable: Fossil Fuels. Thanks BBC. In America we get male and female hairdo model combos sitting at sleek desks in high fashion gear giving us 2 minutes on “the latest.” Well, there it is!

Wildfires are natural, Countries playing about the world's weather isn't.

It's also been proven that many of the fires are set deliberately.

It's not that bad. Small areas..click bait reporting, trying to make it seem worse than it is. I live in California...
