I need to do this with a file server. Im migrating from 2003 to 2008 and just moving the drives that are shares (file share & user home share) to the new server which I plan to IP the same and have same host name. When moving the disk to the new server will it retain the permission structure. From what I read, it does... ANother messed up thing is this is all in 4.1 LOL.... clients wishes my command. Anyway any thoughts are appreciated.

why must we remove from virtual machine first? In the edit portion after the first part of the vid, Im a little tripped up on why theres still no disk and why the extra step of going into manage on the computer is needed, where are we putting it and connecting it to if not there or is it just not added until online?
