The Constitutional Convention was actually charged with fixing the problems of the Articles of Confederation, not writing a new Constitution. They held all their discussions in secret, complete with guards on the doors. They basically overstepped their bounds and the rest is history. And the Constitution laid the groundwork for Alexander Hamilton's view winning out over the Jeffersonian view.

Improve the Constitution?
Require Politicians to undergo a psychological evaluation to rule out psychopathic and sociopathic Politicians with no sense of remorse from ruling over the people.

The only way to improve the Constitution is for "politicians" to observe both the spirit and the letter of the law. Words have meaning, let the scholars on the Supreme Court study what meaning was in common use of that day and rule on the Constitutionality of the present Congressional fiascos.
"Congress shall pass no laws that are not pursuant to the Constitution "
Bureaucrats (like BATF) should not be allowed to indiscriminately and at their own whimsy attempt to change the meanings of the words in the laws that Congress has passed.
10th Amendment clearly states that Federal Gov't shall have no authority that isn't specifically granted to it in the Constitution, and that all other authority belongs to the States and the People.
The 2nd Amendment is a right that belongs to the People, and the Federal Gov't has no Constitutional authority to regulate, restrict, encroach upon, or otherwise infringe the People's right.

How would I improve the U.S. constitution?
That’s easy. I would make the bill of rights more clear so government couldn’t interpret it in their own words to take rights away. I would think “shall not be infringed” would be strong enough however the what is in question more often than it should be.

Section 1
The 5th Amendment is hereby repealed.

Section 2
No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without the informed consent of the owner.

Section 3
Congress shall not interfere with production, trade and use of goods and services, so long as the production, trade or use of the goods and services do not violate the rights of life, liberty or property of another person.

In 1:31 mark, the Constitution was ratified on June 21, 1788, but was created and signed by the delegates on September 17, 1787.

I can’t find room for improvement. But if enough people think it needs to change there is always the amendment process. If it’s determined the amendment is bad it can be repealed.

I would love to see something on how the writing of Adam Smith and John Locke influenced the writers of our Constitution.

Fake news. The Constitution was signed on September 17, 1787, but only ratified a year later on June 22, 1788, when the New Hampshire legislature became the 9th and deciding state to approve the document.

Amend the articles of impeachment. Every time we have used it it didn’t work. I’m able to convict.
