I'm gonna have to say, this game was a long time coming, and while I don't know if the wait itself was justified, it IS a good game. Definitely worth checking out.

As much as I love all the callbacks to previous games like Metroid Other M, the highlight for me about Metroid Dread is Samus speaking in Chozo.

Man this is actually the first 2D Metroid that game got me hooked right from the start because my main love for this series was the Metroid Prime Trilogy mostly due to the fact that Prime 1 was the first Metroid game I played and feel in love with and after playing through the trilogy I tried getting into the 2D ones like beat Super and Zero Mission but only played a bit of Fusion and while I do like them but they didn't click with me compared to a lot of other people but now with this wow I'm only like halfway in to this game and I'm ready hooked on it on the first 15 mins of play and I know they're some people that were disappointed with this game but to me this is the best metroid game since I would personally say Metroid Prime 3 (Or 2 if you weren't a fan of 3)

The atmosphere (No pun intended) in the Metroid series is pretty suspenseful, and sometimes scary. It’s like Ridley Scott’s Alien movies.
