This is what its like to live with and own the 2024 Dodge Durango SRT 392. Its Dodge's last call for the V8 Hemi in a Durango.

I loved my time with the last V8 Durango that will ever exists. The even better part is that this is my first time with the Durango. I had some many eyes on this thing during the week. Dodge only made 1,000 units of this AlcHEMI version. We get a new cosmetic look in the honeycomb stripe but other than that there is no actual design change to the Durango which I guess that is why 2024 is the last call for the V8. We should expect a new looking Durango in 2026.

The inside has some nice things as well. We get the 392 logo on the seats as well as some nice yellow stitching. Other than that there is no changes for the inside. This thing sounds crazy its what happens when you take a muscle car engine in a 3 row SUV. I could not get enough of this thing and if its going to be the last one Im glad I got to see it before its gone.

No it never gets old. I have a 21 SRT since new as a daily with 40k miles now. Thought of trading for something else a few times but when I drive it, I quickly change my mind. I agree it’s like an AWD, 3 row Charger as I previously had a wide body. Thing is an animal on the highway. Crusing at 85mph feels slow because it is so absolutely stable and smooth at speed. My fave is to destroy other run of the mill SUVs and trucks that think they are fast.

When you have it in Track mode, there is a button above the A/C controls and near the SRT button that is lighted. This is the Traction Control ON/OFF button; just hit it to turn the Traction Control back to on, regardless of the mode you're in.

Is there any documentation to show Alchemi owners what number of the 1000 they have?

i don't think the HEMI is going away permanently....EV is just a buzzword but eventually will be phase-out after 3yrs after its enough power from the grind....even CA is thinking about taxing people due to having too much EV in their state
