My hair texture is similar to yours and it took forever for it to loc. My favorite loc product is Spray 'N Loc because I swear they transitioned from looking like rough coils to actual locs overnight.

I’ve been locking my nephews hair for over 3 years now. He’s 16 now and we shaved off the left side just to add a different style. A girl from the barber shop turned me into using real beeswax with a very small amount of olive oil melted down and mixed in. You heat it up and use it as locking gel and it works wonders. It also doesn’t leave a nasty residue and keeps the hair really shiny and doesn’t let it dry out

I found washing my hair everyday with old spice and towel method works great. I also use my bare hand out in public as if I had a towel.

I’ve had mine for 5 years so far. I used beeswax to help the dreads lock together and also a small hook to tuck any strands in so it’s neat
