Why Was Sin Handed Down From Adam And Eve?

This doesn't explain why Adam and Eve had the unique power to pass down corrupted souls to their children. Why did God allow sin to be inherited? Why doesn't God instead give everyone "clean" souls? That's the question. If my parents choose to get tattoos, I don't inherit their tattoos, so why do I inherit their sin?

It’d be nice to have a deeper dive into sin and exactly what the fall entailed. If Adam and Eve didn’t sin… would we not be able to sin? What does sinning exactly mean with regards to choice? Would we not be capable of choosing wrong? Or would the idea of “wrongness” even exist? Fun stuff…

Yeah, it as the bible says the first man is what brought sin, but Jesus Christ is now the first man to have it be forgiven of sin.

Jeramiah 31:30 and Ezekiel 18:20 both specifically say that the sin of the father is not passed on to the child. That their sins are there own.

If I was Adam and Eve I just would have left the garden and that would have fixed the problem that Garden being there is what got them in trouble in the first place and their choices

Based on the Bible we all sinned when Adam sinned.
"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, *because all sinned—"* (Romans 5 : 12)

It's the principle we see in Hebrews 7 : 9 - 10 "One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham, because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor."

We suffer because of Adam and Eve's sin because we were there with them sinning with them. The consequences fall on us just like the consequences fell on them.

We should thank God for his mercy for not wiping out all of mankind with a second flood after the first flood. When God looked at mankind after the flood He said, “...Never again will I curse the ground because of humans, *even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood.* And never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done."

how come we're fixing the suffering caused by the fall? i've lost count of the diseases we've cured, is god losing his grip, is he weaker than humans, or is he slowly letting us off the hook? or is he imaginary? cancer is a weird one, he lets us cure smallpox, but not cancer? is this "trickle down forgiveness"?

The Doctrine of Original Sin is the most negative, demeaning idea possible. Fortunately, it originates from a fairytale book that also features a talking serpent, talking donkey, talking bush, etc, and presents a "God" who sanctioned slavery, genocide, rape, child sacrifice and blood magic 😳 I'll pass 😉

Let’s get it straight Adam and Eve did not sin they made a mistake not a sin.

So if ur neighbor committed murder, then u should pay the price of your neighbor? So if my older child disobeyed me then i should punish my youngest child? Is that what ur saying? So if you co worker gets fired for stealing, then u should get fired too?

Even the outcome is up to us, if we blame Adam and even for our separation from God well Christ has made that sacrifice on the cross so that we may reconcile ourselves back to God, so to those who want to claim they shouldn’t be separated from God well you have that choice to accept or reject that separation by accepting or rejecting what Christ has done ✅

If I was there, I've made de same decision, and if we all do, it's hard to believe for me it was a free decision/choice. Can someone please enlighten me?

Sin of Adam and Eve
> How to correctly understand the sin of Adam and Eve.
1. Before creating Adam, God - the king president of the universe agreed his claim with his two vice-presidents, namely: (a) the archangel Michael, 1st vice-president; (b) and the archangel Gabriel, 2nd vice president {Genesis 1:26}.
2. Archangel Gabriel, 2nd vice-president of the universe, was commissioned to be the angelic leader of the couple and the garden of Eden {Ezekiel 28:13-14}.
3. God's purpose was that, in time, Adam and his firstborn would become the 3rd and 4th vice-presidents of the universe.
4. (a) Adam was created on the 7th day, in the year 4019 b.c.e. {Genesis 1:27; 2:7} [calculate].
5. The garden of Eden was planted in the same year, in eastern Turkey, in the region of Eden (Igdir or Eder), around the Ararat mountains, at the source of the biblical rivers {Genesis 2:8} [confirm].
6. Eve was created on the 7th day, at an undetermined date at the end of the first task given to Adam {Genesis 2:15-25}.
Note: human-sapiens (men and women) emerged on the 6th day {Genesis 1:26-31}, but Adam and Eve were created on the 7th day {Genesis 2:5-8, 21-25; Hebrews 4:3-11}.
7. In disagreement with God's intention in the future co-optation of Adam and his firstborn for the 3rd and 4th vice-presidencies of the universe, to the detriment of other illustrious angelic beings, such as the 4 seraphim, the 4 1st-ministers of the universe, the the regional king-priests of the stratocosm and even the countless cherubim, the archangel Gabriel, 2nd vice-president of the universe, triggered the great universal celestial rebellion in the year 3090 b.c.e. {Ezekiel 28: 15-16} .
8. On that same day, or in the days that followed, God came down and planted in the center of the garden of Eden two trees and a warning: (a) the tree of life (symbolizing the archangel Michael, 1st vice-president of the universe); (b) and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (symbolizing the sinful archangel Gabriel, the deposed 2nd vice-president of the universe).
9. (a) Angry, in total disagreement and disrespect with God, the archangel Gabriel descended to the garden of Eden, ready to do away with Adam; (b) The couple was unaware of the occurrence of the universal angelic rebellion.
10. At least three crimes on the part of the sinful archangel contributed to Eve's fall: (a) inducing sin; (b) the vice or violation of the will; (c) and the manipulation and control of Eve's mind so that she would 'see' in a certain sense {compare 1Kings 22:22}.
11. (a) It is thus noted that Eve's sin was not eating the fruit, since she acted under aggravated mental control; (b) Her sin was giving the fruit to her husband to eat {2Corinthians 11:3; 1Timothy 2:14}.
12. (a) Adam sinned by knowingly having the forbidden fruit with me, wanting to die with Eve {Hosea 6:7; Job 31:33}; (b) By this he bequeathed sin to himself and his wife, to the world and to his descendants {Genesis 3:17-19}; (c) The condition of the demo-angel-descendants was aggravated because, to a certain extent, Adam was to be the counterpoint to the sinful archangel in earthly affairs {Genesis 3:17c, 22a; Ezekiel 28:3; Daniel 8:17; 10:8, 9}.
Note 2: Adam and Eve had no motive or reason to antagonize God. Much less reason would they have if they knew the reasons behind the universal celestial rebellion.
13. The couple were expelled from Eden in 3920 b.c.e., settling in the Caucasus, west of the Caspian sea on the east coast of that sea, in central Asia {Genesis 3:24}.
14. (a) The sinful archangel Gabriel and his angelic followers were cast out of the holy heavens about 3913 b.c.e., the probable date of Cain’s birth {Ezekiel 28:16-19; 31:9, 16, 18}; (b) Since the number of rebellious angels is not known, it is assumed that they were distributed across N habitable planets in the ragalean cosmic region of sin and reclusion as as cosmic recluses; (c) From that date on they began to exterminate homo-sapiens, to oppress the descendants they generated, to gratify the wicked demo-angel-descendants and to victimize the righteous {Isaiah 14:20; Matthew 20:25; Luke 3:7; Psalms 82:6; Revelation 17:4; 19:1-8 }.

End. Topic open for discussion, contradiction, investigation and correction.

God accepted Adam's repentance way back while Adam was still alive

And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."
But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."
Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
(Al-Quran 2:35-37)

They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."
(Al-Quran 7:23)
