I was working on Wall Street in 1986 and there was a lunch time concert right on Broadway, they were doing Billy Holliday and other bluesy stuff and the band was smoking and of course pretty Purdie is doing his thing! I was 21at the time and as i nervously walked up to Mr Purdie after the first set and asked for his autograph i remember the bass player looks at him and smiles big and laughs as if to say" how's this young kid know who you are?" We talked for a few mins and he shook my hand which was as big and warm as personality! Great guy !!!

Half time I hate playing lame gigs for this reason passive aggressive sounds like a jam night at a dive bar it’s like he doesn’t even notice there’s a drummer amazing how Bernard can maintain a great feel is amazing when I’m in the same situation I’m mentally drained
