The Horn of Helm Hammerhand | ISOLATED AUDIO | Lord of the Rings

This is the true isolated audio of the Horn of Helm Hammerhand with no background sounds. I managed to make this using several sound design techniques.

Like many of you, I've been searching for this Lord of the Rings horn sound since I first heard it. Some day, it just so happened that I was playing around with Reaper [my Digital Audio Workstation] - and I managed to isolate the sound of the Horn of Helm Hammerhand. While not being absolutely perfect, it will make for a great ringtone.

Just imagine hearing the Horn of Helm Hammerhand blaring in the mountains at the first light of the fifth day at dawn and looking to the East.

This scene is actually kinda cool with only the horn, very eerie and ominous.

Helm is probably the most badass Tolkien character. He literally blew that horn to let his enemies know he was coming.

And then, sudden and terrible, from the tower above the great horn of Helm rang out. All that heard the sound trembled. Many of the Orcs cast themselves on their faces and covered their ears with their claws. Back from the Deep their came blast upon blast, as if on every cliff and hill a mighty herald stood. But on the walls Men looked up, listening with wonder; for the echos did not die. Ever the hornblasts wound on among the hills; nearer now and louder they answered one to another, blowing fierce and free.
"Helm! Helm!" The Riders shouted. "Helm is arisen and comes back to war. Helm for Theoden King!"

I imagine the Dunlendings present at the Battle of the Hornburg shat themselves when the heard Helm's Horn, not because its a loud horn, but because they remembered their forefathers tales from the reign of Helm Hammerhand himself.
