I've been using -30co and +200mhz completely stable for months now and I get 20k+ on multicore cinebench r23. Thanks for sharing your settings.

I have the same 7700 but with a B650 Tomahawk Wifi, I'm doing +200Mhz -35co all core with a 95W limit(112W really). Went to 95W because the all core was only ~5100-5275Mhz, now it does 5250-5300Mhz ...

Thank you for this tutorial. I will try out the settings. I got a Gigabyte B650M X AX Gaming motherboard, G-Skill 32GB DDR 5 Ram 6000 MT/s, MSI 850W PSU 80 Plus Gold, and a PNY RTX 4070 Ti. I bought my PC back in November of 2023. I was supposed to get the X version of the CPU but by the time I had the funds ready, the hop ran out of stock and settled with the base 7700 model. I tried to use the motherboard preset of Max 80 degrees C at Level 5 and activated EXPO for my RAM in the Bios. I tried to open Cinebech to test it but my PC would end up rebooting. I went back into the bios and revert everything back to default settings. I will give this one a try.

Bruh i found a new kink.

so I did -35 curve opt all cores and PBO negative 200mhz.
Dialing the down the 7700 to 5150 mhz.
Was able to bring CPU Temperature down from 75celcius to 55 celcius under Helldivers 2 Max graphic settings on rx 6700xt with ambient temperature of 29 celcius.
Without hurting a single fps from my gpu at 99% utilization.

If we are using gpu below the level of rtx4070, theres no need to enable pbo +200 mhz. As the matter fact, Underclock your CPU by -200mhz. will give you crazy gains on temperature.

7700 here. I had serious overheating issues when running prime95. CPU was literally hitting 95c+ with a PA120. After a few bios updates I went with PBO 80 lvl4. CPU hits 5.4ghz on all cores in some situations.

I followed the same steps and I got 20064 multicore score in Cinebench R23
And on stock I got 16980.
It's a great difference and the temperature were88/89°C throughout the testing

i've tried your settings, that's ok with asrock x870 Rs Pro WiFi. I have 5.5Ghz in game most of the time with -30 CO and 60°C watercooled . Don't forget to enable Ram OC mode to apply expo profile.

I have the exact same setup as you and followed the video to the letter. I cannot get the bios to show anything but the stock 3.80. Any suggestions?

I use same CPU with a MSI B650 Gaming Plus wifi and Rx 7900 xt for the GPU, 750W 80+ PSU, 2×16 gb 6000mhz cl30 ddr5 RAM. Sorry for bothering you, will it be safe and stable if I set my OC setting same as you. I really 1:00 need low temps with a little bit more performence if its possibble. Thanks for answer❤

Are there any other setting you have changed that may seem obvious to you but maybe aren’t. We have the same exact hardware and I can’t get my bios to show any change in CPU speed. Thanks

For me 30mv is unstable, at -25mv and +0MHz, +100MHz, +200Mhz I get the same 19800-20150 in cinebench, and the same 5280-5311Mhz on all cores. 85 degrees max for all settings. At PBO level 2 or -20mv I get 19500-20000 and 5260-5280Mhz so it seems it’s basically based on how low you can undervolt

Is it normal to experience fps inconsistency in games with PBO enabled? At the moment i'm using cpu ratio at 4800 and cpu core voltage at 1.2 but i'm scared that i'm leaving some performance on the table (with pbo disabled)
