Marmoset Toolbag 4 Beginners Tutorial - Baking & Texturing a game ready Flashbang!

Hi everyone, let's bake and texture our Flashbang!
This is the Marmoset Toolbag 4 part of the tutorial where you will learn how to import our previously created flashbang low and highpoly models to bake our input maps such as normal, AO, curvature as well as Color ID mask. 👌
We will then setup a texture scene and create triple A quality textures for our grenade and conveniently since Marmoset is a real time render software also make renders at the end. You can download the one month free trial version on the Marmoset website.

Just completed the full tutorial. Thank you very much. I'm used to Substance Painter since a few years now and for a first try I have to admit Marmoset has quick and quite powerful texture tools. The UI is perfectible and I miss some features from Substance Painter but for a first udpate it's already quite impressive.

Toolbag4 is insane! You should make more videos on it, like how to create textures like bricks and tiles!

Awesome! Thanks a lot, Tim! You're doing a great work

One thing, i guess, might be useful even for you - in camera settings, Color tab, Tone mapping - you might switch it to another presets, rather than Linear. AESC or somethnig like this significantly increases your render's quality by adding more color depth. Try to play with it a bit

Wow, I was not aware that Marmoset planned on adding a complete texturing set of features! Finally, a competitor for Adobe. Also this alongside FREE and powerful Blender has got me really excited for the future of 3D software! I wonder if Blenders sculpting features can replace ZBrush?

Really great tutorial Tim. Thanks a lot, I can't believe it is free on youtube. A small bit of feedback, as a complete beginner I think it would help if you explained why you did certain things rather than just saying what you did. For example, I didn't understand why you were making a high poly and low poly model, why you were marking certain edges for bevels / subdivision and why you were marking certain edges as seams for the UV map. I could follow along but if I was working on another model I wouldn't be able to make the decisions because I didn't understand the reason for doing the actions. Obviously I am learning about these things now but just a small bit of feedback that could have made the tutorial even better. Cheers! :)

great. thank you Tim. Can you also use a brush to paint with normal information? In Substance it works pretty easy, but couldn't find any way to do that with Marmoset. Thanks and keep rocking. cheers.

Great Stuffs Time Thank you for sharing. I have a question please,
should we activate the tone mapping or any other post effects in substance painter to match Unreal lighting as the results always differ after getting the low-poly and texture maps in it? or there are other techniques in the industry to solve this? thanks again.

Lots of new stuff I learned but how do we get the textures and mesh gameready and throw it in to unreal or unity? Any tutorials about that?
