Not only did she have a gorgeous voice, she had textures and colors that we've never heard from anyone else, ever. On top of that, she was an absolute genius at arranging music around her unique ability to vary the emotional intensity like no one we've ever heard. The dynamics on display are simply unparalleled in all of human history. Eva Cassidy is the greatest, most complete singer who ever lived.

It is an incredibly rare gift for a singer to take a song we've heard sung by so many others for so many years, and sing it as if we'd never heard it before--to take those same words and music and reach down inside of us and touch our very souls.
