Pokémon Journeys: The Series is the eighth part of the anime series. It features all of the regions from the main-series games, including the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield. This series shares its Japanese name with the original series when the anime first premiered in 1997, and is officially labeled with "2019", the year this series started in, for disambiguation. This new series focuses on the two protagonists Ash Ketchum and Goh, along with their partners Pikachu and Cinderace. It also features a young girl named Koharu (Chloe), who has a Yamper, and her father, Professor Sakuragi (Cerise), who runs a laboratory in Vermilion City. It features all the regions that have appeared in the Pokémon games, from Kanto to Galar. Pokémon from each region will also appear while Ash is pursing Leon in the Pokemon World Coronation Series (PWC) and Goh is chasing his dream in Project Mew.

Could go either way. I'd pick Lance though because it looks like he's winning in the trailer, is strong, and is on a mission. He should know how to counter his weaknesses. Dianca doesn't seem totally ready to handle such brute strength. There was fear in Aurorus's eyes.
Should be a good battle anyways. Can't be worse then the previous one unfortunately.

I believe Diantha is the only champion who is going to win and lose in coronation series and we are going to see it. She might win against Lance but lose to Leon. Can't wait to see her battle.

Yeah I don’t think we need another Lance v. Leon. Although, last time was only a 1v1…. I’m sure Lance can deliver just as well as you’re describing Diantha. But I’d prefer Leon v. Diantha. Jussaying

Before the leaks and the recent merchandise started coming in, I would have said Lance. Every interview with lance mentioned was, he wants revenge on Leon. Beating diantha would put him against Leon, able to get his revenge. He will of course fail. We also have merchandise of; mega charizard Y. Assuming this is lance’s, he would face Leon for of course, another charizard vs charizard battle. He’s obviously not using it against diantha, unless Gary has one, this is lance’s. Lance has insane feats as well. Placed 2nd in the last pwc, won the Pokémon world tournament, actually put up a fight against kyorge(unlike Steven), and he’s the champion of not one, but two regions. If it wasn’t for recent leaks and merchandise, this would be an easy win for lance. Right now, the Pokémon travel episode 115 riddle could predict diantha beats lance. Also, we have had lots of Leon, diantha, Cynthia, and ash merchandise of them together. Which funny enough, 3/4 of those trainers are definitely moving onto the semis, wouldn’t be surprised if diantha also was since, she is apart of that merchandise. We also have plenty of leaks pointing to, diantha winning.
Personally, I want lance to win. I don’t want another Leon vs lance battle, but I’ll take it over lance losing to diantha. I love lance too much to see him lose to diantha 😅 who do I think will win? Sadly diantha diantha 😭

Actually if iris or Cynthia wins ash’s battles one of them I think it’s clear cause if lance or Diantha win either one of them will battle Leon cause the rankings will determine as we already saw in the previous episode

We need diantha to battle ash cause they actually never finished the battle twice in season 1 of xyz team rocket stole diantha's Gardevoir. And in season 3 in xyz Ash-Greninja passed out in the battle lasted for awhile (by the way a fun battle and we did got to see what Ash-Greninja looked like 🤩)

As a lance fan I think diantha got this cause a leon vs diantha would be more interesting
It would have been better if lance battles ash in the first round
Diantha had better interactions with Steven more than any other champion that was a missed opportunity

For Lance, even though we see him Dynamaxing his #Pokemon in the episode preview, he could be Dynamaxing his Dragonite instead. Also, Lance had made to the PWC finals last season so he must have a very effective strategy against fairy types as a PWC contestant and a G-men member. For me, I’m still unsure who would win.

If they ever want Lance to revenge Leon, they will set another champ to Lance like Alain or Iris to make Lance's win more reasonable. They set D to Lance because the writers want Lance being taken by M Gardev
