So many great book! It never gets old looking at these books. You're so lucky that you and the grandfather now have a shared passion.

Can’t wait to follow you on this journey. It’s great that you know what you want to keep like Superman. Have fun and collect what you like but having a direction and goals can help keep you focused. Allan is a wealth of knowledge and a great contact!

Very cool! I've been getting back into comics recently and have enjoyed Alan's channel as well. That's a cool connection with you and your grandpa. Can't wait to see what's in that collection.

Just in case you haven't looked, the covers you showed may match the cover less books you have. The back covers may match also. Easy to tell by matching the colors on the spine. Enjoyed seeing the books.

Wow, I'm so jealous, but more so than the comics...you being able to talk to your grandfather about his history with these comics and that he wanted to share that piece of his legacy with you. That's really something.

There's maybe a chance that CGC could recognize your collection as pedigree given the story behind it, definitely look into that, and good luck in all your future comic adventures!

Alan and Collecto 06 seem like awesome guys. The Disney Parade you had doubles of is labeled as the first cover appearance of Uncle Scrooge. The other one you have doesn't show any key significance but is the next issue in that series. Excited to see how the room turns out!!

Definitely, definitely bag and board those books! Handle with care because you can easily rip or bend covers and pages. You can learn a lot from Alan the Comic Geek YouTube channel as well as other comic channel. You are so lucky to inherit a collection of these wonderful iconic comics! Looking forward to see future videos. 👍

You are welcome. It was fun to go through the collection. I mentioned it in my live stream. The Parade book is the 1st cover appearance of Scrooge. The remainder copy of Journey 24 goes for about $15-20. I'm glad I could help.

The Tomahawk "The Black Cougar" is Star Spangled 113, This story is penciled by the great Frank Frazetta and is considered a classic. You know probably the best thing that you can do is have someone with a good working knowledge of golden age books to go through them with you and highlight what you actually have (maybe your grandfather already did this). Someone who is really passionate about these types of books may be able to really spark a passion in you for these books. Don't talk to someone who is only concerned with monetary value find someone who can educate you in the history and importance of these books.

Back in the day newsstands would send in their unsold issues for refund. That's why the top of that Journey into Mystery was cut off like that. Marvel was saving on shipping by only wanting the top of the front cover sent in as proff the issue was tossed. Obviously those issues weren't all tossed as they were suposed to be.
