You're young, you like this song. You're old, you lived this song. Same as it ever was.

His glasses stayed put and never failed him. One less worry in his life. I wish my glasses behave like those.

I WAS THERE. Still living it to this day. Same as it ever was!

Left a law school exam half a mile away only to walk into a memory.

I am Japanese. I was in my twenties at the time and loved his fashion. Looking at him again now, my longing for that time does not diminish.

I think what makes this so incredible in part is how Byrne's dancing never comes off as pretentious or annoying when that line could get so easily crossed, he does it in a perfect way that just organically feels like an endearing and complimentary visual to the energy of the music

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything even close to as great as stop making sense. The closest may be nirvana mtv unplugged for me but I really don’t even know if that even scratches the surface. In this performance it almost feels like almost every single song performed isn’t even close to the original it’s like a whole completely different universe and man is it even greater than a masterpiece. This legitimately might be one of the greatest things ever filmed in the history of the world in my opinion.

My dad loved this song. After he passed away, I played it for him right before I poured his ashes into the Gulf Of Mexico off of Estero Island.

This is just one of the most amazing things ever put to film.

“Here comes the twister.” I’ve been listening to this since the early 80s, but until recently, I’ve never seen “Stop Making Sense”. I’m sorry it took this long because this film absolutely blew me away. It’s a masterpiece.

At the risk of being controversial, I think this version is better than the studio version. I've always imagined that this song would be extremely difficult to get right in a live setting. But this performance has me speechless and tearing up.

Ok, but can we talk about how beautiful the moment when he rises up and grabs the mic at around 4:34 is? I mean, the composition, the light and the movements. Has always impressed me.

When I first saw this at 15, I thought he was a fucking weirdo, now I think this is one of the best videos ever

Keep in mind, in 1983 everyone used lots of lights, smoke, fire, props etc etc for their shows. The music videos were edited with lots of cuts and camera angles. The more the better. And from out of nowhere, these guys show up with two ordinary spots, almost no editing, white sterile clothes with a weirdo on vocals and a "loop" oriented music with a jungle feel to it.

I just watched this again for the hundredth time, and it still moves me to tears. When the camera angle changes and the backing singers are slowly rising... man. Makes me feel fortunate to live in a world that can create something that amazingly good. It's been said a million times, but... Best. Concert. Film. Ever.

The entire show Stop Making Sense is an absolute masterpiece. They nail it on every song. I just wish I was old enough to see this show live when it happened in 83....

I'm Japanese. I went to see this movie and I couldn't resist. I got up and started dancing behind the back row.
