So much the 4th-5th on that list. So many times when I try to help I have to ask for some sample data because yes, I would love to help, but without data it's not really possible, makes much harder. I usually use the "Enter data" to have some data, but only if I just neeed a few rows/columns. If the answer requires more than that but OP can't provide sample data, I usually just leave it. Sorry, but as you said, i'm doing this in my free time and generating test data is just too much time.

Thank you for the guidance. I will maybe add a comment Under the "Be nice" item, Give feedbacks and say thank you because I have been confronted, when I was answering questions on the "Answers Forum", to people how ask and ask and ask until they get there answer and after that, no "thanks" and even no "this worked for me" and with the time this can be frustrating and demotivating. I think that saying thank you is a way to reward the person who helped you and keep him engaged.

Love this! I'm in the same boat as you. I get so many requests asking for help/support. I just don't have the bandwidth. Having been in support for 10 years, I love helping people, but I also know what that means. I'm going to go down a rat hole that will consume 2 days of my life and probably result in a memory dump at some point 😉 Learning to search effectively is the best way to go, followed by using other resources.

Ruth....i know what you are talking about.
The thing is when you ask some of fee for your/my assistance, even a small amount, the asking person just fade away.
And.... "Thanks" is a wonderful word. Some peaple just not familiar with that word.🤔😉
We have sentance that goes:
"The way you behave, is more impotant from the knowledge."

Great overview of the Power BI Community! Would you mind posting the link to Greg's blog?

Maybe it's just me, but I find the Power BI community to be much "nicer" than those of Excel, etc. Perhaps, because of its relative newness and/or its rapidly evolving nature, the community members tend to be very enthusiastic yet remain mostly polite. I think Microsoft's rapid turn-around in customer feedback also contributes to the active and productive engagement as well. I really like Power BI and its community. It's a good thing because that's where I spend LOTS of my waking hours!

Thanks for your suggestions Ruth, what about if you're still using the free version? As I'm stuck for a % change measure in a filtered matrix, and unfortunately I've been looking for ideas & trying measures for the last 3 days (including weekend) but haven't succeeded yet: (. Can you suggest anyone who can help and ideally explain the measure.
