2025 Audi Q5 SUV vs Old Audi Q5 SUV - Comparison Visual Driving, Exterior & Interior Design Overview

The new Audi Q5 SUV family is based on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), a platform architecture for conventionally powered vehicles with longitudinally installed combustion engines. All models in the Q5 series at market launch are equipped with the highly efficient Mild Hybrid plus technology.

The powertrain generator generates an additional drive torque of up to 230 Newton meters and up to 18 kW or 24 hp. All models use the 7-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.

The entry-level 2.0 TFSI engine delivers 150 kW (204 PS) 340 Newton meters of maximum torque and is equipped with front-wheel drive. As an option quattro all-wheel drive is also available.

The 2.0 TDI delivers 150 kW (204 PS) and 400 Newton meters of torque and is only available with quattro all-wheel drive.

Audi is offering the Audi SQ5 as the top model in the series at market launch. The V6 TFSI with a displacement of three liters produces 270 kW (362 Hp) and has a maximum torque of 550 Newton meters.

They all look cool. None of them are better than the other. Just the interior has more gadgets which is the only reason I’d switch

I’m liking the extra aggression and flair in the new Q5 but it hasn’t made the current version instantly obsolete which is nice. I do mourn the loss of what was a perfect climate control set up though

Realise Audi likes the gradual change approach. But for me, there isn’t the attraction of changing if the old one looks like the new one. It’s a “shoot yourself in the foot” strategy. And one of the VW Group’s many existential problems.
