One of the neat things about using a Mac is that macOS features various levels of interaction and customization, but many of us only ever scratch the surface of what's possible. If you regularly perform certain actions on your Mac, often there's another way of doing it that's easier, only it's not so obvious unless someone points it out to you.

With that in mind, here are 10 quick macOS tips that once you start using should make the time you spend on your Mac a more effortless experience. The following assumes you're running macOS Ventura, but most if not all of these tips should work on earlier versions of Apple's Mac operating system.

Using my iPhone as a scanner. Right click in an empty area in a folder and select “import from iPhone”. #1 tool I use all the time

The stationary pad checkbox was completely new to me. This will actually safe me from a lot of frustration when filling out and signing travel expense forms. 🙌

off topic. picked up 14" MacBook Pro M2. way better than my 2017 15" matchbook pro which pretty much stopped working when it came to video/photo editing. Only gripe is that I'm missing the 4th thunderbolt port on the new Mac. I would rather have had the 4th thunderbolt than hdmi, for my needs. I don't want to go spend $300+ on a hub, which I can't find one that has 4 downstream thunderbolt 4s.
