I’ve applied for my master's in the USA, received my I-20, and am now booking the visa appointment. I have one question: We have to add spouse's name on my wife passport who is the F2 applicant and have applied for the same. It should be done by next week. For now, can we book the visa appointment using her old passport along with the acknowledgment receipt of the new passport? When appearing for the interview, we can take the new passport with my name on it. Please reply.

I am in the USA since 2022, under F1 visa in a Community College and about to complete my Associate degree and planning to transfer my credit to the university. I would like to mention here I've been working in the college since I admitted here and I believe my college will offer me a job based on my major. During my summer I got married back in my Country.

Is it possible that having an open petition for a K1 visa, I can obtain a B1 B2 visa, if my intentions are only for vacations? I am currently a term student and I am only interested in having vacations before my graduation but I am afraid that because I have an open petition they will deny me a tourist visa! Previously I have had a tourist visa and I have been responsible with the stays, I always traveled from 15 days to 18 no more. What is the possibility that they will give me the tourist visa again even if it is in an open petition process?

I just have a question . Unfortunately I rejected 3times at the first time I was very stressed and I couldn’t present myself properly and for the second time my whole time of my interview just took less than 1 minutes and i don't know why and what reason he rejected me but at the last time the officer ask me 2 question and i answered really complete and related to her question but again I don’t know what's the problem?? my question is do i have chance to get a visa? i'm F1 bachelor ،Have you ever accepted someone after several rejections?

Thank you for this video. I want to inquire if it is necessary for my wife to change the name on her Nigerian passport (which is her maiden name) in order to apply for an F2 visa as my spouse. Her passport still bears her maiden name but she is now married to me. Does she need to process a new passport that will reflect my surname or she can still use the passport she got before getting married to me?

This is quite nonsensical, to be quizzed like a sub-human for something as private and personal as marriage. For an H4/F2/L2 why would someone working in a reputable organization indulge in fraud for marriage and risk their career and deportation? My wife has no idea what I do because its incredibly complex, yet the visa officer asks a non-technical person "what is your husband working on". ALL the Americans who I interacted with at the university international student center having degrees in international studies or immigration law had a poor understanding of eastern people and cultures, unless they were first/second gen immigrants. I cant imagine anything different with a visa officer.
