2024 Ford Superduty Lariat vs Platinum which is the best value HD trim option?

For 2023-2024 Ford has made the upper trim levels very close in pricing and I feel that in this video I will show you that the Platinum is a better value than the Lariat Ultimate when you compare apples to apples for your money.

King Ranch is more rare and nicer in my opinion, the only thing I wish is that the KR had the led head and tail lights but im going to switch them out on my KR anyways so its all good in my case

Platinum interior alone makes it worth it for me. Better materials inside from what I’ve seen.

Platinum, by the time you add the optio s you want to the lariat, they price out about the same. Byt if you decide to trade them back, the Platinum will fetch better trade values than a lariat, even optioned the same !

you are right the Platinum is a beautiful truck and those seats are fantastic however I hate chrome so I"d go with a Lariat ultra with black appearance package. I wish ford offered the black appearance package on the Platinum trim level

That platnum is awesome. I'd probably have enough walleye scales, deer hair and hay in those seats that they'd quit working within months. I can't have nice things, lol. Great interior for most people though!

Lol, the only other manufacturer that has upper and lower messaging seats is Mercedes Benz... and that's in the E63 and higher cars.. (mines a 14 and it has it, . It's great!)

Interestingly, Mercedes got out of their contract with Bang & Olufsen too... and it shows up here in the trucks. I'm here to tell you, the B&O system in my E63 is AWESOME. It will definitely overpower you in the car, I suspect this will do the same in the truck with more room.

Do you have a video that dives into the locking hubs? Do they basically give you a front locker?

It really depends. I don't have a need or use for the pro power or the onboard scales (which make the truck trickier and more expensive to level/lift). The upgraded tailgate is nice. Don't care for the wheels (chrome package wheels on the Lariat are better). Painted front bumper immediately needs PPF.

If I did end up with a Platinum over a Lariat ultimate, it'd probably be for the massaging seats 😅

in any brand loading up a lower trim will always net a lower resale value....yes these trucks are expensive but if your already @ 90k, really whats a few more for exactly what you want

$90K and a truck doesn't have LED lights all around in 2024.
That is the definition of bending over and taking it.
I think Ford needs to spend another $100M on stock buy backs so the top people at the company make some money on their stock options and you might as well give the workers another 25% raise.
The bigger problem is that even the used trucks are way up there. I just looked and the 2022's are still $70K

Wow.... Ford went cheap on the auto hubs... That's pretty shitty. so now the front axle is spinning all the time adding drag. That's really piss poor. They should just give the option for manual hubs again.
