That’s a really cool idea and very cute design! Bees move into hives on their own and would leave if they thought they could get a better deal elsewhere, they pay rent in honey because they’re hardworking and upstanding citizens of society.

Just a reminder bees are very much not exploited, there is quite literally nothing stopping them from leaving and starting a free hive, they prefer the safety the beekeeper provides
