How long does it take to get an E2 interview? The answer depends on where you are applying. Currently, most consulates are not quite as efficient as before the pandemic, but most are pretty close. The average waiting time between 4 to 12 weeks, and you can always check online (“visa appointment wait times”) for a bit more information about the consulate where you will do your interview. (Please note that E visas are NOT listed on the timetables. We suggest that to figure the time to an E visa interview interview, you add 2-4 weeks to the category “Interview required petition-based temporary workers – H, L, O,P, Q”). It’s very important to be flexible, since these times aren’t always accurate AND the times will vary and fluctuate every couple of weeks.
