Van build - Heatso x Espar x Kalori x Kelvion hydronic heat and hot water system

The last video laid the groundwork for our plumbing system. Now let's dive into the heating system in way more detail! This video shows how we installed our diesel-powered hydronic heat and hot water system from Heatso into our van. The diesel furnace is an Espar model S3 D5E. The RV water heater is Kelvion model GBE 220H-22. The air heater is Kalori model EVO 1.

The kit is available through Heatso here:

The diesel furnace is really the heart of this system. It burns diesel from our main fuel tank in the van to heat a coolant loop. This coolant loop circulates to an on-demand water heater and an air-to-air heat exchanger. All these components will work together to supply us with hot air and hot water as long as we have diesel in the tank! The rest of the components are ancillary to allow us to install the whole system and make it work.

We truly hope this video helps someone figure out their installation. If you have any questions, please drop a comment down below. We always reply. As always, if you like the video, let your friends know. If you don't like it, let us know!

So I think I have the same kit, the Espar, Kalori, and then a webasto controller and an Easy Start Pro controller. Everything I have seen and watched says that you cannot get the two systems to automate off of the one controller (meaning when the blowers controller (mine is a webasto with the red lines you described) senses the set temperature it turns on the Kalori blower, but DOES NOT turn on the Espar. SO the Kalori blower never gets hot glycol. Some one told me they had to set the easy start pro to come on using the time feature, so they have their Espar kick on 3 times during the night, and the Kalori will then get heat during once of those 3 times.

Is that how you are wired, or were you able to figure out a way that when the Webasto sense the low temp to turn on at, it turns the Kalori and the Espar at the same time?

Thanks in advanced. and love the videos.

Where are you going to mount the coolant expander tank?

Where were you able to find the quick connect adapter for the fuel line?

Super helpful video, thanks! We're about to install ours and was thinking the air blew out of the motor duct but it sounds like the hot air comes out of the rectangular area. Can you confirm the air comes out the big rectangular area? Thanks!
