Bro, imagine working as a delivery driver during Christmas, and getting a $20 bonus, I’d be throwing hands. Just pay them better for fuck sake

Fun fact: tips means Amazon gets to avoid or reduce taxes

I don't tip anybody that's not normal in my country.
the USA employers should do the right thing pay they're employees more.

Im glad someone with a voice is talking about this. Im a driver and i got 26 thank yous just to find out almost none of them counted for the $5 tip as the million dollars capped out in the first day in just a couple hours. So i probably will get a 10$ bonus this year instead of an actual bonus which i actually need to support my family. Another thing amazon usually pays us a bit more an hour for peak season (time of the year the volume of deliveries is at a all time high) but they told us they wouldnt be doing that or giving us a bonus this year because we got a dollar raise ealier this year.... so yeah, Jeff Bozo should actually give us a bonus or pay us what we deserve instead of using our tip money to buy himself a billion dollar yacht.

They should pay their drivers more, not make us tip them.

I visited the US for two weeks and I was shocked that tipping was a requirement and not something you do when u actually felt they did a good enough job that you wanna tip. Was definitely one the craziest thing I experienced there

They also only pay $17.75 and expect you to do around 200 stops on your first day lol

Sounds like they're trying to dodge a pay raise by putting it on us lol

The richest company in the world can afford to pay their drivers extra for delivering my kid's xbox I can't afford. So dumb

I work in the heating and air conditioning installation field and this year my boss wanted to sell his company cause after over 35 years he was tired and wanted to slow down and take it easy. We where a small company that was like a family. The company was bought up by a huge company that has been buying all the small companies all over. And I use to get a holiday bonus every year about 1000 to 1500
Which was very nice. The big company sent me my holiday bonus a $25 gift card for Amazon I almost died laughing cause me and my helper are closing in on over $2 million dollars of revenue for the company and I only been there 6 months. I am have tempted to send the gift card back to them with a note saying I believe you must need this more then me

Pro tip: People barely scraping by don't like it when you give half their bonus away to charity

As one of those drivers, I was told last week by a customer that they had added a tip and I should expect it. We were told it would be added to our paychecks. My next one comes in at the end of next week, so I'm waiting to see if I actually get the money or not.

We all collectively need to stop tipping, all at once, no more tips for waitress/waiters, coffee baristas, ubers/doordashes, anything.

Pay your employees

The US should try to follow Japan's no-tip culture. I doubt it ever will, though.

And they keep yapping on about folk not wanting to work anymore when they pull shit like this.

What a bummer that I live in an apartment complex so I don't get my packages to my door. That wouldn't be a big deal if I lived on the ground floor and wasn't a wheelchair user getting 50 pounds of dog food delivered every month. If they brought it to the door, I would totally buy the cheapest Alexa to tip, even if it was my own money.
