"Licensed phone technician" LMAO that is the funniest thing I have heard in a long time

Hey hugh, certified samsung tachnician here. I love your videos and your extensive knowledge. I do have a tip for you, that grey/blue frc cable on the main board side that runs from the usb board to the main board is supposed to go over the plastic bracket for the wireless charging but under the coil itself. It's clear the seller opened the phone previously and didnt mount it correctly

I love that companies REFUSE to use screws to hold down the rear cover, but literally cover in the insides with screws and then glue the battery in place, where they use plastic clamps to cover a connector. It is like they know which parts will need to be replaced and have made those parts as hard/dangerous to replace as possible...

There's no limit to some seller's imaginations when writing ebay sales descriptions! 🙄 Nice fix Hugh! 👌👌

That licensed technician must be friends with the level 9 technicians at Microsoft 😂

As a Licensed phone plumber, you did a great job repairing it

Seeing this glued down phone makes me even happier for the upcoming user removable battery law!
Finally, something that's actually good for the environment and consumers!

When you go to do the Flip 4 note that you may need to transfer the magnets from the original frame to the new one or the inner screen may go dark when turned on. I believe the hall sensor expects a certain magnet strength to function and there is no way to calibrate the preinstalled magnets to the sensor on the logic board.

Reminds me of the Mercedes EQS saying the hood may only be opened by a specialist workshop 😂

When lifting screens you should use a iflex opening tool or a quanli opening tool, that metal pry tool with the handle is far too thick and will increase your screen failure rate when lifting. You should also inject IPA into the edges of the display as these screens are not effected by it and the adhesive with heat and ipa will literally fall off.

This is coming from a trained samsung tech that does accredited repairs.

It's frustrating to see how obvious so many choices are made to make these phones harder/annoying to repair

Gotta love seeing these repairs. Very satisfying to watch. 😎👍

beautifully done with the battery removal! I would've been too scared to use a metal prying tool like you did. very impressive!

I absolutely love folding phones, and the Z Fold 3 I'm currently typing on. Such an amazing device and worth every penny imo

Asurion repair tech here. Im not sure if it exactly applies, but for my job we did have to get Apple and Samsung certified to work on any phones, they've got a whole program and curriculum that 3rd party repair partners have to go by so we can do the job. There's also something called a WISE certification too, depending on what level of equipment/hardware you're required to repair. Hope this helps lol

I wonder if the seller meant "licensed technician" as in a technician from Samsung or a 3rd party technician that is licensed. Like from a shop that sells Samsung phones as well other phones
