Contain the pooch when you are using machinery....she will not accept that noise....contain her in a crate in a quiet room of the house...stay with her during those times.

I’m a handyman, loud tools are my thing, every dog I’ve ever had is always afraid of the tools at first. They get used to it. I ignore them at first and then I start teaching commands that I just kinda meet up as I went like, ”watch out.” Which they just learn to put themselves the distance between me and them because I’m about to cut a piece of lumber or whatever and I don’t even pay too much attention to him. They just keep a distance when I say that and of course, drop commands help when they decide to pick up a pencil or something of mine. Makes it easier to take them to work sometimes when I can also..

Put a crate in the garage with dog then start it so the dogs sees what the sound is
