Dune is my generation Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. My biggest regret is that I couldn’t get to witness in IMAX, my city doesn’t have IMAX but still i experienced true cinema, everything about it. Can’t wait for Dune: Messiah/3

FUN FACT :- DUNE took direct inspiration from Islam.

In the Fremen messianic legend, 'The One Who Will Lead Us to Paradise;'" applied to Paul Atreides by the Fremen when they determine that he is their messiah. The term Mahdi is the same as that used in Islam for a messianic figure who will appear shortly before the Day of Judgment in Islamic eschatology.

And as PJ said when yu read book yu will find Words Jihad,
the dress of women like hijab, Importance of water,
and many more Islamic culture things in the book even the writer admit the influence of Islam in dune universe

Awesome movie man. As in history. People always believed, especially suppressed one or victims always made a central belief of a saviour, some one who saves them. Coz saviour represents thier hope. They marketed that hope as religion. I love the way creator of dune potrayed political shades of a religion. Protogonist isnt powerful coz he is a saviour, he is powerful becoz he tailors into a role of saviour. Its shown clearly . His journey starts from revenge rather than a concern for arrakis
