Super helpful, thank you so much! Taking part in my first 50k Ultra this year and am told the poles will help! Awkward to use at first but am getting there and this was really useful!

Good to see how to use them. I've been hiking for years and never bothered with poles as like having hands free and most people seem to drag their poles.

do you use the poles also for running downhill?

Hello! What kind of belt are you using here? It looks like it keeps the poles in place when they are attached. And have you tried salomon pulse belt or high puls belt with poles? Thanks

Those poles seemed to release very easily from the glove. My Leki MFC's need a good 'bump' on the ground while pressing the release. Do the handle need cleaning with a wax polish or something to keep them releasing freely? Also I'm finding the telescopic section gets graunchy if they're used in the wet and then dry out. Have even locked solid once.

It's interesting how you are not synchronising arm-movement with legmovement. It's not just with running that I keep em synchronized. Also when hiking up I always have the pole push on the opposite side of the feet. So every step is a push with the stick. If I decide to use them less or slower I usually switch to double push but I never do a every other step with the single arm 😮

Unless you're really old or really drunk, why do you need these crutches?
