Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Review: Lives up to the Hype

Samsung continues its nearly spotless history of delivering excellent big-screen phones with the Note 9. It offers powerful performance, a long-lasting battery and a brilliant display. Its cameras aren’t the best in class, but they still take great photos, and the new S Pen remote controls make the stylus useful for more than just doodles. This is hands-down one of the best phones of the year.

Dual Aperture Camera, Superb Screen, Great Speakers, Headphone Jack, SD Card, Big Battery, 128/6GB & 512/8GB storage options, Dex PC connection, Ip68 water and dust resistance, Bluetooth 5, Fingerprint Scanner, Wireless Charging... ticks so many boxes, great job Samsung.

That S Pen functionality though...
Bluetooth enabled, super quick charging and the ability to map different functions per app onto it... that really sets this phone apart. Nice one.

$1, 000 is a lot of money but when the Apple fanboy are willingly paying that just for a basic iPhone X then suddenly the Note 9 seems like good value

If any phone is worth 1k, it's the Note 9. Waiting for my 512gb Note 9 to be delivered next week.

This phone is so complete. The people who say 'nothing has changed' since it looks similar to the Note 8 are insane. Phone design doesn't have to change drastically for functionality to improve significantly.

I think if I had the $1000.00 to spend on this or the Apple iPhone X the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 just offers so much more.

I'll never understand why people claim they have so much trouble with the iris unlock feature... I use it almost exclusively on my S8+ because it just works so well and is so much faster than fiddling with that terrible finger sensor placement.... It even works FLAWLESSLY when I'm wearing my glasses whether I'm in bright direct sunlight or in pitch black darkness.... I'll never understand how so many people just... can't get this right... I set it up the day I bought the phone, and haven't ever had to redo the scans... they just, worked from day one and continue to work without a single failure....

This is the most complete and the only phone that is truly worth the price, imo. With that said, I'm completely happy with my Note 8 and won't be looking to upgrade for another year. Excited to see what Samsung would be doing with the the S10 and the Note 10 (if it's still happening).

I've not had those problems with my note 8, both Bixby and iris scanner work like a dream for me. I've literally never had those problems... I will see when I get mines. Great videos by the way! Thumb 👍🏽

Unlocked version gets updates faster.
$1250 for the 512GB version which also adds 2GB more ram is a great deal: 4 times the storage and more RAM to run everything you throw at it.
Waiting for my 512GB version to arrive next week and trading my Note 5 for a $150 discount. Awesome stuff!
